While pregnant, your body will go through a lot of changes, and you may not always know whether or not your health symptoms are a normal part of pregnancy or something to do be concerned about. That’s why we’ve compiled a short list of a few of the health symptoms that you should never ignore during your pregnancy. If you experience any of the following symptoms, be sure to consult with your physician promptly.
According to Times Now News, it is normal to experience some spotting during your first trimester. However, if you experience heavy bleeding at any point in your pregnancy, there might be a serious problem, such as miscarriage, that needs to be addressed.
Harsh Headaches and Abdominal Pain
If you are dealing with headaches that are severe and don’t seem to want to go away, especially if you are in the latter part of your pregnancy, you might have preeclampsia, which is a condition that needs to be addressed by your doctor so that you can maintain your health, and the health of your baby.
Another one of the health symptoms that you shouldn’t ignore during pregnancy is abdominal pain. While some pain and certain aches are considered normal, if you are dealing with pain that is chronic and severe, and if you have other symptoms, such as headaches, nausea, blurred vision, or bleeding, this may also indicate that you have preeclampsia.
A bit of swelling, particularly in your feet, ankles, and hands, is one of the common symptoms of being pregnant. If you have severe swelling, though, and it comes on suddenly, talk to your doctor to rule out a health problem like preeclampsia.
Vision That Becomes Blurry
Blurry vision and other changes in your vision that do not go away need to be evaluated by your doctor, particularly if they are accompanied by other unwanted symptoms, such as those that are listed above.
Knowing which pregnancy health symptoms are normal and which ones aren’t will help you feel more empowered throughout your pregnancy, and will allow you to take action right away whenever necessary.
